🧞 NB with changeling!

You couldn’t say the G word in the ‘70’s…

A vibrant illustration featuring Changeling, a green humanoid figure with wings and yellow eyes, leading a lively crowd in singing a playful parody of “YMCA.” Changeling is mid-gesture, radiating energy and excitement, while the diverse crowd behind them joyfully joins in. Above them, the lyrics “It’s fun to stay at the Y, M, C, A. Because you now know this song is not” are displayed in bold, colorful text. The phrase is humorously followed by a censoring symbol and a visualized “bleep!” effect. The scene is set against a festive background with colorful lights, confetti, and a celebratory atmosphere.

🐲🧞🏳️‍🌈 I’ve experienced a lot of personal growth in this area of my life, and I’m not having it taken away without fighting for it. #LGBTQPeopleAreNotGoingBack

<img src=“https://starshipchangeling.net/uploads/2024/e45e53a7e4.png" width=“600” height=“600” alt=“The image is a powerful black and white illustration symbolizing the unwavering determination of the LGBTQIA+ community to move forward and not regress. It features six silhouetted figures holding hands, walking confidently down a road towards a large sun on the horizon, symbolizing hope and progress. The road is lined with barren, twisted trees and streetlights, and the figures cast long shadows towards the viewer. Prominently displayed are broken chains across the road, representing the breaking of barriers and oppression. The bold text reads: “LGBTQ++ PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE ARE NOT GO BACK,” emphasizing the message of resilience and the refusal to return to past injustices. This image is part of a movement on December 23, 2024, urging those with a platform to amplify the message that LGBTQIA+ people are steadfast in their journey towards equality and will not go back.">

🧞🐲 I always wanted !to make a Saturday morning cartoon!

“Changeling relaxes in a cozy rocking chair, eating a bowl of cereal shaped like miniature Changelings, while watching a vibrant Saturday morning cartoon featuring another Changeling on the TV. A speech bubble declares, ‘Media representation is a proud sponsor of this nutritious breakfast! MMMM!’ The scene exudes a playful, meta vibe, blending nostalgia, self-awareness, and layers of representation.”

🧞 At our all-staff meeting someone next to me observed that the room was divided into the guys and gals sections. After paying to the sound dynamics, I turned to her and said, “and I’m in the middle!”

🧞 Thank you riding along through my hatching.

The image portrays a whimsical and fantastical scene set in a lush, green forest. Central to the image is a cracked, oversized egg, from which a green creature with alien-like features is emerging. This creature is surrounded by a dozen smaller, baby-like dragon creatures, each one perched on or around similarly cracked eggshells. The dragons are vibrant and varied in color, showcasing bright pinks, purples, blues, and yellows. They have small bodies, long tails, and delicate wings, with some fluttering above the rest. The forest background is dense, with hints of vines and a soft, ambient light filtering through the canopy, which adds to the magical atmosphere of the scene.

🧞 A generally accepted honorific for some who is nonbinary is Mx, pronounced “mix” I don’t personally like being addressed by an honorific, but some cultures hardwire it in people that you say Mr., Ms., Mx. before one’s name as a show of respect.

🧞 There is a definite shift going on. We are in a situation where my friends call me by one name and set of pronouns, and everybody else calls me a different name. Also, we’ve decided the guy associated with that other name is an asshole.

🧞🧞🧞 I actually had someone thank me for sharing my pronouns with her yesterday. Of all possible reactions, I did not expect that. Ever.

But it was a good thing to have happen.

See? My Friends by me the best gifts. My friends could learn a thing or two… Note the first instance of Friends is capitalized. #BlindBarbie #NonbinaryThings

The image shows a person sitting indoors, holding a Blind Barbie® doll. The person is bald and wearing a dark blue T-shirt with a graphic design on it. They are smiling slightly and looking towards the camera. The Blind Barbie® doll they are holding has long brown hair and is dressed in a pink top and a purple skirt. The doll is also holding a small white cane, similar to those used by visually impaired individuals. In the background, there is a table with some items on it, a large plant, and a window with curtains. The setting appears to be a casual indoor environment, possibly a dining or living area.

I would also like to announce I will not be running for the U.S. presidency this year. I endorse Alex the NB Ace Cat.

📅🧞 June 22, 2024. Transition complete. Those of you who have been paying attention know. Those of you who have been otherwise occupied elsewhere will catch up.

    BPI Fall Social

I’ve been playing with canva and exploring its accessibility and whether or not alt text transfers out. in case it doesn’t, here’s a description of the imbedded design: The image is a promotional poster for an event called the “BPI Fall Social” happening in September 2024. The text “Join the fun at bpi.gay” is written at the top. The central part of the image features a colorful, fantastical dragon with vibrant scales in shades of blue, green, purple, and red. The dragon is perched on a bridge over a river, with a city skyline in the background. The sky is filled with dramatic, colorful clouds, suggesting either sunrise or sunset. The text “BPI Fall Social” is overlaid on the image of the dragon.

🧞 When you enter a social situation and someone misgenders you—not a huge deal, then makes such a show of correcting that everyone in the room has a front row seat to to the shit show… That, I’ve just discovered, is worse than someone getting it wrong by accident to begin with or just not giving a fuck and doing whatever they want..
