@gocu54 This is sound advice and what I would say if I were your instructor or anything like that.

@gocu54 It's not officially released until Monday.

@JeffBishop I have an auditory processing disorder and have been using Airpods Pro2 to filter out background sounds in loud places. You most certainly do not get all day usage out pop them.

@KenScott01 That's a good song.

@evilcookies98 The only accessible version I know is RS, and it feels like they haven't updated their cards since they added the game.

@singingnala You know, when I first got Alex, there was a period of time where I was considering giving him back not in the sense that I wanted to, but in that I needed to know it was still an option. This explains it.

@NightDrake It was the least of my problems, but I sympathize with the instructor that has to fight that fight.

@technocounselor One of my favorite Shipt features: There's an accessibility setting that lets shoppers know not to send photos. It's great!

@NightDrake Yeah. We had this long list of skills to learn in order to be an independent blind iPhone user, and they would just reject most of the list when they found out Siri doesn't do those things.Reason No. 405 I had so many problems last year.

@walkside3 Good, because I used Living Blindfully to keep up with developments in the community as part of my job.

@doubletap This will be the first episode I'll have listened to. I'm shopping for Living Blindfully alternatives.

@lzbth that is absolutely gorgeous.

@NightDrake I agree about more blind people using the tools you mentioned. I often make it a point to yell nonsense in the background if someone is dictating a whole text convo. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of I'm texting so I don't make a phone call in a public place idea.

@NightDrake I just mean the standard about whether or not one knows dictation appears to be fairly low. I often wonder if people in fact do notice and make assumptions based on that.
-
∞
@NightDrake I wouldn't personally worry about that. Plenty of sightlings use dictation to send messages. As long as you capitalize the first letter of new sentences and put a period at the end, it's probably okay.

@walkside3 Oh. I know that overplayed song well. Lol

@FreakyFwoof Wait until Apple Intelligence is in general release. Lots of people will get on board there.

@FreakyFwoof We use it in our meetings at work for event planning.

@NightDrake The only time I use dictation is in Messages, actually. I’ve never experienced this, but it sounds like something in the app’s coding is causing x.

@Pawpower That’s all right. Y make up for being the fun police by posting the stuff we want to see on social media. People just living their lives.

@walkside3 Hurts so good like a kick in the ass should? Lol

@matt That was one of the things I loved about VoiceDream reader. After you set your voice and speed, it gave reading time based on those settings. It didn't address print or Braille reading speeds, but I see your concept.

@FediTips My question is are we campaigning for Mastodon to be the No. 1 platform in this space? Or are we pushing for federation to be the way of the future? Because if Mastodon is looking to be No. 1, they'll have to make sure capitol not be a part of how they're No. 1.
